Jean Campbell was born in ca 1745; died in ca 1803.

Notes:

Jean attracted Allan Cameron of Erracht (b. 1750) in about 1775 and was at the centre of his duel with Alexander Cameron of Muirshearlaich. She was known as the Red Haired Widow.

Her brothers are recorded as Lieut. Archibald Campbell at Carie, Rev. James Campbell of Kenmore, Perthshire and Colin Campbell, Collector of Customs. Also a sister Helen married John Cameron of Camghouran, presumed parents of her heir, Ewen Cameron, Writer.

Her Testament of 1803 refers to a Trust document of 1797 naming her nephew Ewen Cameron, Writer, as her heir.

Family/Spouse: Alexander Cameron. Alexander (son of Dugald Cameron, 13th of Strone and Jean McBean) died in 1772. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

3.	John Cameron (1.Jean¹) was born in 1769/71; died before 1797. Notes: Ensign, of the 16th Regiment. Noted in Jean Campbell's will as having recently died. It was inferred that all her children had died by then.

4. Dougald Cameron (1.Jean¹) died before 1797.
5. Alexander Cameron (1.Jean¹) died before 1797.
