See - "in a letter sent to Bishop Forbes by the wife of Dr. Archibald Cameron regarding her sister married to Alexander Cameron of Glennevis she reports that the gold lace and gold buttons were cut from the young son's coat and that he was wounded."(Ref.     He was a widower in Jersey by the time of the 1851 census, living with his daughters and a grandson.
