Lewis Cameron was born in ca 1777 in Dalmeny, Midlothian; died on 13 Aug 1854 in London.

Notes:

In 1795 he held a commission in the Inverness Invincibles and went with that regiment to Ireland. He then went to Berbice and took up the Union estate.
He was an associate of Donald Charles Cameron (I18999), but not apparently related.

Lewis married Elizabeth van Imbyze van Batenburg in 1814 in Berbice. Elizabeth was born in Jan 1797 in Berbice; died in 1864 in Edinburgh. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
