- of Downan in Rannoch. Also recorded as of Camgorn (Camghouran), parish Fortingall, Perthshire, on the southern shore of Loch Rannoch.
He brought out the Rannoch Camerons in 1745, and was imprisoned in 1752 for certain transactions relating to the Locharkaig Treasure.
"Angus Cameron, brother to Gleneavies, was taken up at his own home in Rannoch, April 27 1753, by a party of the soldiers stationed in that country etc." (MacGregor Collection 184/4)(London Evening Post 5 May 1753).
