  Notes	He migrated to Van Diemans Land in 1824 with his family where he took up a 2000 acre grant at Eastern Marshes. He then lived at Redlands, New Norfolk, which he leased. In 1834 he was commissioned Lieutenant Governor's Envoy to New Zealand. In 1837 he returned to Australia and settled on the MacLeay River as Crown Land Commissioner.
