- Listed as Ag. Lab. and Fisherman in Scotland - at Kylesmorar, par. Glenelg 1841, cottar there in 1851 (on south shore of Loch Nevis).
He spent 10 years in the United States at unknown time (death cert.). There is a suggestion he was in the army.
He migrated with his family on "The Lightning", from Liverpool, arriving Geelong 25 Nov 1855. Farmer in Little River district, near Geelong and also at Nurrabiel.
He was said to have a brother, Sandy Cameron, who had a station near Hamilton, now identified as Alexander Roy Cameron (Ref. John Cameron)
