    • Episcopalian. Grew up in France and succeeded in 1762 on brother's death, aged about 15. Ensign and later Captain in 30th Foot (General Parsloe's Regiment) - Commission 26th June, 1765, bought for £400. He transferred to 71st Fraser Highlanders in 1775 and raised a company, but died before leaving for America. He had a lease of Glendessary portion of Annexed estate.

      In 1770 he was described by Charles Cameron of Worcester (b. Jul 1748) as "a few months older than I am". (Celtic Monthly Mar 1903)
