  Notes	Probably of this generation, brother of Callart. Officer in the French service, described as Captain reformed of Booth's regiment. In July 1742 he was imprisoned at Edinburgh for recruiting for the French service, along with Evan son of Duncan Cameron of Ballachulish and John son of Allan Cameron, tenant of Lochiel. (ref. London Evening Post, 10 July 1742) In November 1745 he was amongst prisoners taken from a French ship en route to Scotland, along with Samuel Cameron, 2nd Lieut in Drummond's regt. (ref.
