Had property "Erracht Vale", Sandon, Vic. He died "aged 69" (DC,MI)

1.3  Flora Cameron  b. ca 1827 Lochaber, d. 25 Jun 1884 Wallan, Vic aged 57. Migrated per "Blonde" 1848 as dairymaid. She is listed as aged 23, born Fort William, Presbyterian, who "went with her brother", probably John to G. Cameron, Melbourne. Marriage and death certificates state born Kilmonivaig.

m.  27 Aug 1849, Melbourne, Frederick George Arkell  b. 15 May 1825 Gloucs, d. 6 Jan 1920 Fawkner, Vic. Son of James Arkell and Mary Pearce. He was a "Pentonvillean Exile" to Victoria having stolen picture frames from his carpenter/framemaker employer in Gloucestershire. He seems to have been charged with at least 2 theft offences before being incarcerated and then deported. He established his farm Bylands near Bald Hill and Wandong outside of Melbourne and on his wife's death certificate also describes himself as a storekeeper. The stone farm buildings he and Flora Cameron built are still there. (Ref. Rosemary Willis) He m.2. Martha Jane Key, widow, no issue. She d. 6 Jan 1910

Engaged by Mr Tolmie at Kinlochewe, nr Donnybrook, Vic Later Victualler and Contractor. Lived at Fassiefern, Hawthorn. Parents unknown on death cert, died "aged 63. He cannot have been christened 9 Feb 1821,Kilmonivaig as has been suggested - see John's birth record as first child.

He called his house in Hawthorn "Fassiefern"

On the disposal list she seems to be called Nancy, aged 30, who went to F. McNabb, Melbourne. At marriage described as third daughter. Aged 43 at death.
