In 1841 he was at Ranachan Strone, aged 50, as G. Lab., with his mother (or mother-in-law) Ann Cameron, 70, wife Peggy, 50, and family members whose ages do not fully equate with those given from parish register.
A second couple of the same names lived in the same area around the same time, apparently unrelated - see Colin1
Duncan married Margaret Cameron. Margaret was born in ca 1800 in Ranachan, Argyll. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

In 1851 she was apparently a widow, living at Ranachan, Ardnamurchan, with Hugh aged 23, Cathrine 19, Alexander 14 and Ronald 12.
She migrated with her ten children per "Allison" (Highland and Island Emigration Society) from Liverpool 13 Sep 1852, arriving Melbourne 20 Dec 1852, residence Strontian.
