Dau. of Dr Alexander Rose, of Inverness, and Janet.
Her children returned to the care of her parents in Inverness after her death.

Janet married Major John Ross on 24 Jan 1821. John (son of Rev Thomas Ross, D.D. and Lucy Cameron) was born on 28 Oct 1788 in Kilmonivaig; died on 7 Sep 1838 in Kamptee, India. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

1. Alexander Ross was born on 2 Nov 1821 in India; died in 1893 in Melbourne.
2. Thomas Ross was born on 2 Jul 1823 in India.
3. John Ross was born on 5 Aug 1824 in India; died in ca 1874 in London.
4. William Ross was born on 27 Mar 1826 in India; died in 1900.
