In 1861 his sister Mary Cameron, widow, b. ca 1790 Glasgow and niece Sarah "H." Cameron, b. 1843, Ardnamurchan were with them. In 1851 his niece Julia Cameron, b. ca 1838, Largs with them.

Patrick married Jessie Cameron on 4 Feb 1841 in Greenock. Jessie (daughter of John Cameron and Mary Cameron) was born in ca 1817 in Kilmallie; died in in Greenock. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

His son Allan Cameron, 1st of Donie, lived there ca 1712, as shown in a Charter of Glen Nevis dated 1712. His son Ewen was knighted by Charles Stuart in 1745.
