    Went to Demerara 1843, planter of Wakenaam, Esquibo River, British Guiana, and for many years representative of Wakenaam in Georgetown "Court of Policy".

    Donald married Mary Ellen Keatinge on 9 Nov 1864. Mary was born in ca 1838 in Ireland; died on 16 Aug 1895 in London. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    2. Donald Charles Cameron died on 14 Mar 1940.
    3. Dr Allan Gordon Russell Cameron was born in ca 1868 in Demerara; died on 19 Jun 1926 in Worthing, Sussex.
    4. Lionel Cameron died in infancy.
    5. Jessie Cameron was born in 1871; died in 1877.

    Donie or Dawnie family stem from Donald Dubh, 2nd son of Alexander Cameron, 8th of Glen Nevis.
    His son Allan Cameron, 1st of Donie, lived there ca 1712, as shown in a Charter of Glen Nevis dated 1712. His son Ewen was knighted by Charles Stuart in 1745.
