1.	Allan Cameron was christened on 31 Jan 1745 in Fortingall, Perthshire (son of Angus Cameron and Christian Menzies). Notes: Settled in Jamaica He was served heir in 1775 to his grandfather James Menzies of Maillor and to his brother Donald.

Notes:

of Downan in Rannoch. Also recorded as of Camgorn (Camghouran), parish Fortingall, Perthshire, on the southern shore of Loch Rannoch.

He brought out the Rannoch Camerons in 1745, and was imprisoned in 1752 for certain transactions relating to the Locharkaig Treasure.

"Angus Cameron, brother to Gleneavies, was taken up at his own home in Rannoch, April 27 1753, by a party of the soldiers stationed in that country etc." (MacGregor Collection 184/4)(London Evening Post 5 May 1753).
