    Notes:

    Probably of above parents. He was a convict, aged 18 in 1820, arrived per "Asia" 1821, after time on the hulk "Retribution" at Woolwich. He and other lads assaulted and robbed one Robert Stewart of his silver watch at a Fair in Glasgow.

    He was stable boy and miller, convicted Glasgow Court of Justice 2 Oct 1819, sentenced for 7 years. 1822 Muster "Employed by G S Brisbane, W Mally, Liverpool". 1825 Muster "Employed by Mr Lucas, Liverpool".

    "Assigned to John Lucas, Liverpool 1821-26". Ref. Richard Burke.

    Ticket of leave 3 Mar 1825, cancelled for "riotous behaviour and disorderly conduct" on 26 April 1826 (Sydney Gazette). Certificate of Freedom on 8 Nov 1826. Ref. Al Heath
