Arrived Port Phillip Jan 1839 (apparently not the Alexander Cameron recorded in dispersal list of "Maitland" 1849). Had interests in many Vic runs, including Morgiana, Glenaulin, Mt Sturgeon Plains, Spring Bank and Bochara.
Unmarried. He died after a fall from a horse. At the inquest there were 5 Camerons on the jury, John, Kenith, John Junior, John and Duncan - all apparently unrelated.

Death cert. states born Glenturrit, Inverness-shire (informant son Alexander).
Glen Turret is at the end of Glen Roy, over the hill from Laggan; Glenpean is at the head of Loch Arkaig, towards Morar; Knoydart is on the west coast, north of Morar.
Ewen married Flora Cameron in ca 1805 in Ardnamurchan, Inverness-shire. Flora (daughter of Duncan Cameron and Ann Cameron) was born in ca 1780 in Kilmonivaig, Inv; died on 29 Oct 1868 in Morgiana Stn, Hamilton, Vic. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
