Migrated ca 1850. Between 1851 and 1886 he had leases at Lake Meran, Quambatook, Ultima and Currumbit (part of Swan Hill station). He was councillor of first Kerang Shire in 1875.
He also bought Gonn Station, on the NSW side of the Murray River in 1877.
