He is documented as living at Earnbank House, Comrie, near Crieff 1878-9; at the Thistle Hotel, Milnathort, near Kinross, 1880-82; and in Edinburgh 1884. He owned the hotel 1880-84. He migrated to Sydney in 1885 but then returned to Scotland, arriving Sydney again 22 Feb 1887 per "Orient"

    Death certificate gives his parents as Duncan Cameron, Farmer and Catherine McGregor - probably a mistake by the informant, youngest son Donald.
