Alexander Cameron

Crofter, and Free Church Catechist at Ardnastaing for 20 years.

Death certficate gives parents as Hugh Cameron, crofter, and Anne McKinnon (sic) and age as 60 at death. No such couple has been found in the district, and despite the age discrepancy the given family appears likely to be correct.

He was possibly weaver at Ardnastang 1841, recorded with his daughter Peggy.

Alexander married Ann Cameron on 19 Sep 1845 in Acharacle, Argyll. Ann (daughter of Archibald Cameron and Ann Cameron) was born in ca 1817 in Strontian, Argyll; died on 23 Apr 1888 in Ardnastang, Argyll. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
