The Peerage gives his marriage to Catherine Cameron, August 1768. In fact that month he bigamously married in Maryland, USA, an actress, Margaret Cheer. He obviously had no living issue, as his younger brother William succeeded their father in 1792 (Scotch Peerage, where he was stated to be unmarried).
