    Flora married Thomas White on 22 Dec 1909 in Hokitika, Westland, NZ. Thomas was born in 1875 in NZ; died in 1928. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Children:
    1. Jessie White died in ca 1975.

  1. 2.  Hugh Angus Cameron was born on 31 Jan 1832 in Carnegie Park, Port Glasgow; was christened on 8 Apr 1832 in Kilmacolm, Renfrewshire (son of Angus Cameron and Flora Cameron); died on 29 May 1915 in Hokitika, Westland, NZ; was buried on 31 May 1915 in Hokitika, Westland, NZ.

    Notes:

    Recorded as Heugh at baptism. Carnegie Park was owned by Mrs Foster, who d. 1833, widow of Dr James Foster.

    All other records point to a birth ca 1836. "Aged 6 in 1841, 24 in 1861". A first Hugh may have died in infancy.

    Not with his family in 1851 census, but as Ewen Cameron, aged 15, born Port Glasgow he was at Culchenna, nr Onich, Kilmallie, nephew of Charles Cameron, miller and Mary nee Cameron.

    Gardener & Seedsman, Port Glasgow, in 1861. He migrated to New Zealand by 1866, lived at South Spit, Hokitika, Westland, where he continued to work as a Gardener. A garden nursery was advertised in Revell St in 1875. He won a prize for a collection of ferns in 1874, and in 1880 he exhibited a bale of flax and the Melbourne Exhibition.

    Described as school teacher at death.

    Hugh married Mary Graham on 8 Jun 1866 in Hokitika, Westland, NZ. Mary was born in ca 1841; died in Mar 1911; was buried on 27 Mar 1911 in Hokitika, Westland, NZ. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

  1. 4.  Angus Cameron was born in ca 1786 in Kilmallie (son of John Cameron and Sarah Cameron); died on 26 May 1855 in Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire; was buried in Port Glasgow.

    Notes:

    In 1820 he was a servant at Ruthven, Kingussie.

    Recorded as Porter, Belhaven St, Port Glasgow, in 1841; Gardener in 1851, with 4 acres at Chapelton Gardens, Port Glasgow Road, nr Greenock, employing one labourer.

    At death he was said to have been 25 years in Renfrewshire, but probably longer.

    In 1806 the Farm and Garden of Chappleton consisting of 3 farms were advertised to be let.
    The area of Port Glasgow along the river is described in 1836 Statistical Account as "garden ground, furnishing a supply of vegetables and fruit, excellent in quality and much more than needed for the inhabitants".

    Chapelton Gardens has been identified as on the flat north of the railway, below Chapelton itself, and near the roundabout at the west of Port Glasgow.

    Angus married Flora Cameron on 16 Apr 1816 in Kilmallie. Flora (daughter of Kenneth Cameron and Mary Cameron) was born in ca 1789 in Kilmallie; died on 7 Jan 1884 in Smith St, Caversham, Dunedin; was buried in Dunedin, NZ. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    She went to NZ in 1867. Said to have had 2 sons living in 1884, aged 64 and 48, one daughter 54.

    Both of Fort William at marriage (rather than Gordonsburgh), which was conducted by Rev. Paul McColl of Appin(who in Kilmallie was associated mainly with marriages from Onich/Ballachulish region).
