From at least 1888 of 163 Smith St, Fitzroy, later of 200 Gertrude St, Fitzroy, where , until June 1910, he advertised himself as ex-police detective, now private detective specialising in divorce cases.
1905-09 listed as decorator (electoral roll).

He probably died late 1913, Melbourne East, aged 82, parents unknown.
