He arrived with his children at Portland Bay 21 Jan 1855, from Liverpool 1 Oct 1854 per "Derry Castle" assisted by the Highland and Island Emigration Society.
With the family was a related Donald Cameron b. ca 1835 (an unmarried carpenter of Inverness-shire) and one Alexander McAuley.

Donald may have been at Mosquito Plains with his daughter Johanna (Joanna) in 1857.
